I’m Kyra*, and I’m so grateful you’ve stopped by.
Your wedding photographer will play such an important role on your wedding day. Not only in capturing beautiful imagery to remember it by, but also by creating an atmosphere that is relaxed, light-hearted and fun. When you look back at your photos, you will remember how you felt above all.
At heart, my work is documentary in style, with a desire to tell your story in the most honest and beautiful way. I am more about the people than the things. I value authenticity, connection with others, art, romance, and humour.
*it’s pronounced “Kee-ra” (like She-ra, Princess of Power, for those of you familiar with 1980s cartoons)
A bit more about Kyra
Photography feels like home to me, and there are so many places I have called ‘home’. I’m American, but I grew up in Senegal and Egypt because of my parents’ work. After Uni I taught Drama at international schools in Nicaragua and Singapore. When I’m in the US I call California home, but I’ve also lived in Oregon, Maryland, and Lake Tahoe. I’ve been shooting weddings in Australia for ten years now, and I am hooked!
I’ve been told I’m very calming, which is handy on a wedding day! I’m into hippie shit, interiors, camping, thrifting, revelry, and musical theatre. And although I love to travel, there is nowhere I’d rather be than cozy inside with my ‘forever home’, who are actually people - my little family of 4.
