Penny & Nathan
Self-proclaimed ‘camera-shy’ couple, Penny & Nathan, absolutely smashed their portrait session, and as a matter of fact, every other part of their wedding day too! It was relaxed but stylish, with a focus on the people that were there and the abundance of love they have for each other. I loved how they got ready together in the same cute AirBnb with all of their friends and family! We got so many candid, heartfelt moments right out of the gate! We also got all the wedding party and family photos out of the way, so that after these two got officially hitched by the gorgeous Megan Jordan, they had no more ‘jobs’ and could get straight into the party with their 130 guests!
So many thoughtful details went into their day, making it a truly unique and personal event. All the beautiful vases on the tables were handpicked and collected by Penny from Op Shops over the course of the year. Penny’s mum made the beautiful blush pink shawl that she wore during our portrait session. Nathan’s embroidered pocket square of the couple’s cat was the way they came up with to include their precious feline baby in the festivities. Everything felt meaningful, important, playful and fun. How good!

“We don't even know where to begin. As a couple of shy people, we were somewhat nervous about being the centre of attention for a day. We had no idea what to expect, but we just hoped that things would turn out okay. You created such a wonderful, calm atmosphere as soon as you arrived at the house. You made us feel comfortable, and like we could be ourselves. Our families, who are similarly camera shy, felt comfortable and confident getting in front of the camera, as did our wedding party.You were organised, direct, funny, joyful, and our biggest hype person. We enjoyed every minute of it, and we hope you did too.
The photos you have sent are beautiful. You have truly captured the fun and joy we both hold as the pillars of our relationship.
